What's the connection?

This is just in the way of explanation about why all of the different projects under the aegis of "The Open Project" are connected. A minor example:

Smaller, more efficient housing: better environment for entire ecosystem, easier to integrate into a growing (that is, gardening, optimally permaculturally) community, better psychologically for individuals living in the house, much higher efficiency, etc. etc.

However, this can't be coerced. It is happening naturally, as we reach the limits of our bigger is better mentality, but people won't be happy about it, especially at first. The earlier people start to live in cozy homes, the better it will be, and the less it will hurt, for all of us, but people have to want to do it. So, integrated education and sustainable building practices go hand in hand.
